2,000-pound ‘bunker-buster’ bomb used to kill Nasrallah, US bombs were also used!

Bunker-buster’ bombs were used to kill Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon’s Shia political party and armed group Hezbollah. Each bomb likely weighed 2,000 pounds.

Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack on Lebanon last Friday night. He had led Hezbollah for more than three decades.

Israel has released a video of the fighter jets used to carry out the attack to kill Nasrallah.

According to weapons experts and analysis by The New York Times, the Israeli fighter jets carried bombs (bunker-busters) weighing 2,000 pounds each.

Analysis of the video shows that Israel used at least eight fighter jets in the attack on Nasrallah. The fighter jets were equipped with ‘bunker-buster’ bombs. The jets had at least 15 ‘bunker-buster’ bombs. Each bomb weighed about 2,000 pounds. These included US-made BLU-109 bombs.

Trevor Ball, a former US military explosives expert, says the bombs are known as ‘bunker-busters’. They can penetrate underground before detonating. These bombs are equipped with a precision guidance system.

Wes Bryant, a US Air Force targeting expert, reviewed the video. He also agrees with the aforementioned analysis.

In a message to The New York Times, Wes Bryant said that the type of bombs he expected to be used in the attack on Nasrallah in his underground headquarters is exactly what happened.

The video was released on the Israeli military’s official Telegram channel yesterday, Saturday. The video caption read: Israeli Air Force fighter jets involved in the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah and Hezbollah’s central headquarters in Lebanon.
